So that the Museum can continue to provide wonderful exhibits and educational programs to the community of Ventura County, here is a snapshot of the costs of keeping the doors open. 

$  2,200 = The average rental cost for a temporary exhibit
$15,000 = The average cost to develop and install a new permanent exhibit

$  8,000 = The annual cost to conserve and maintain the collection

$   1,500 = Average monthly utility bill

$   1,400 = The monthly cost of maintaining the facility and grounds
